In 2019, our family experienced the heart-wrenching loss of a miscarriage. Devastated but determined, we leaned on each other for support. In 2020, hope returned with a new pregnancy, but the joy was tempered by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I contracted a health condition that led to a hospital stay in the COVID ward, but thankfully, I recovered. The lockdowns brought isolation, but the birth of our healthy baby boy, Harrison, brought immense joy.

Shortly after Harrison’s birth, my health issues resurfaced, requiring another hospital stay. The separation from my newborn was difficult, but my family’s unwavering support helped me through. Balancing work and raising my two sons, Harley and Harrison, became overwhelming, leading me to leave my job and focus on being a full-time mum, supplemented by part-time work from home.

Determined to stay active and engaged, I launched Halina, a jewellery and fashion business named in memory of our loss. This venture transformed our grief into something beautiful and meaningful. Today, as I reflect on our journey, I cherish our resilience and embrace life.
